Fun-filled celebration of cerebra


Much awaited one of the largest student’s fest in Delhi – NCR “AAHAN 2012” has been celebrated from 12th to 14th January 2012 at ACCMAN Campus. Number of top B – Schools participated in Academic events organized on January 12th 2012. Students added enormous amount of skills, as they have been provided with a suitable platform at ACCMAN. The deliverance of quality has been observed during the conduct of programme.

Following were the events organized on January 12, 2012
  • Breathless (Extempore)
  • Opinion Leaders (Debate – Topic; FDI in retail is beneficial)
  • Mensa Vs Mensa (Quiz)
  • Carpet Baggers (Business Plan Presentation on e – business)
  • Boardroom Games (Group Discussion)
  • Add – Mad Show
  • Graffiti (Poster Competition)

Day two of AAHAN 2012 was full of energy, passion, enthusiasm, skills and leadership as sports activities were organized on January 13, 2012. Events like softball cricket, Volley – ball, TT, Chess, Tug off war, Badminton, Carom and Kho – Kho took place on the day. “Sports are the test of human limits”, the quote come true as students participated in all the events with passion. All the activities of sports have been participated by members of faculty and staff of ACCMAN as well. ACCMAN Institute of management believes in developing the skills amongst the students by various events along with academics.

After convocation on day 3 i.e. January 14, 2012 students delivered their talent by participating in cultural events. The winners and runner ups of Academic and sports activities have also been awarded with prices during same event. The programmes like solo and group dance, solo and group singing, skit, stand up comedy and many more took place on the day. Alumni of ACCMAN were also present to enjoy the programme. The event was a great finisher of 3 day show.

ACCMAN is committed to organize AAHAN 2013 with more passion and discipline. As we name it talent to showcase.

General Guidelines:
  • Only one entry per event from each institute will be entertained.
  • There will be a participation fee of Rs.50/- per participant (For Ad-MAD Show Rs. 100/- Per Team)
  • Decisions of judges will be final and binding to all.
  • Participants should bring institute’s ID card along with them at the time of registration and must report sharp at 9.00 a.m. at ACCMAN campus.
  • The participants must maintain the discipline inside the campus and should be in formal attire.
  • Last date to register for all events is 10th Jan. 2012 and after that any entry will not be considered.
  • Winner of each event will be awarded with the Memento and a certificate.
  • Prompting by team supporters will not be allowed and in case of any cueing negative marks will be awarded to participants.


AD MAD SHOW (Funky Advertisement for Funky Product

Guidelines:
  • Each team will comprise 5 members only.
  • The competition will consist of preliminary round for all participating teams if the number of teams exceeds 6.
  • The entire round will be based on originality, execution of the advertisement, logos, taglines, visual aids etc.
  • The props such as- table, chair, basic stationary items will be provided from the institute and the rest students have to bring.


MENSA VS MENSA( Business Quiz)

Guidelines:
  • Each team will consist of 2 members only.
  • The competition will consist of preliminary round for all participating teams and top 6 teams will be selected for further rounds.
  • The questions would cover several areas such as- Business, Economy, logo, punchlines, ad jingles etc.
  • The team members will not be allowed to keep mobiles, laptops, cue paper etc. with them during the event


GRAFFITI (Poster Competition – Earth on the Edge)

Guidelines:
  • Each team will comprise 2 members only.
  • Only plain white sheet will be provided by the institute, the other required material will be brought by the participant like- paints, brushes etc.
  • No glitter painting will be permitted.
  • The time duration is 1 hour and 30 minutes.


BOARDROOM GAMES (Group Discussion)

Guidelines:
  • Individual participant only. Each institute can send 3 participants.
  • The topic/caselet will be given on the spot.
  • The time duration is 15 minutes.


OPINION LEADER (Debate- FDI in Retail is Beneficial)
Guidelines:
  • Each team will comprise 2 members only, one will speak for the motion and the other against the motion.
  • The time duration is 4 minutes (per person) and 1 minute for question answer session. The first speaker will be given 2 minutes extra time to reply at the end.


BREATHLESS (Extempore)

Guidelines:
  • Individual participant only.
  • The topic will be given on the spot.
  • The time duration is 2 minutes and 1 minute will be given for preparation.


CARPET BAGGERS (Business Plan for e- Business)

Guidelines:
  • Each team will comprise 2 members only.
  • Participant will have to send a copy of Business Plan to aahan2012@accman.org.in
  • Participant has to register themselves on or before 9th Jan 2012. If a Business Plan is selected then he/she will be called for the final presentation.
  • Time limit: 15 Minutes

    AAHAN 2010 @ ACCMAN



    Aahan 2010, one of the largest student fests in Delhi-NCR, ended on 30 th January with a gala cultural show. 25 management and engineering colleges from around the country participated in the event which was organized by Accman Institute of Management, Greater Noida. The event was divided into three parts—Co curricular Competitions, Sports Competitions and Cultural Show.

    There were seven co curricular competitions in which students pitched their mettle against each other. The competition that attracted the largest number of participants was the AdMad show in which the competitors had to develop ad plan for a funky product given on the spot. The competition was won by a team from IAMR, Ghaziabad . However, it was the business plan competition which saw the toughest battle of the bright students. IILM narrowly outpaced Indian Institute of Finance and Accman to in the coveted first prize. In Business Quiz, Sudhanshu Bhadani and Rahul Lakhera from ACCMAN won the top honours with the second place going to team from NIDM. In Summer Project competition it was Varun Kumar of Accman who won the first prize while the first prize for Debate competition went to NIDM. Boardroom Games, an innovative competition based on group discussion was won by Deepak Kumar of ACCMAN.

    The organization was perfect and competition was very tough”—this was the opinion expressed by most of the participants. Mr Muralidharan, MD of Mindworx Consultancy, who was one of the judges, expressed surprise by the level of maturity shown by the competitors. Similar was the opinion of other judges who felt that competitions like the ones organized by ACCMAN help students further fine tune their skills and understand how to excel in the corporate environment.

    The winners of all the competitions were given a cash prize of Rs. 5000 each whereas the runners up were given free subscription of a magazine, Business and Management Chronicle.

    Expressing satisfaction at the large scale of participation, Prof. Praveen Sharma, Director, Accman Institute of Management, thanked all the student organizers for the excellent management of the event. He congratulated all the winners and expressed hope all the participants would have used the occasion to foster friendships with peers from other institutes. He expressed confidence that in future Aahan will become an even bigger event.

    • Winner of each event will be awarded with a cash prize of Rs.5000/-
    • Prompting by team supporters will not be allowed and in case of any cueing negative marks will be awarded to participants.

    SPIN DOCS (Project Presentation)

      Guidelines:

    1. Presentation can be given by only 1 person.
    2. Participant will have to send a soft copy of Summer Internship Project and Synopsis of maximum 1000 words to aahan@accman.co.in . The hard copy of the report to be submitted at the time of registration.
    3. Participant has to register themselves on or before 20 Jan 2010 . If a report is selected then he/she will be called for the final presentation.
    4. Time limit: 15 Minutes

    CARPET BAGGERS (Business Plan for a Green Business)  

    Guidelines:

    1. Each team will comprise 2 members only.
    2. Participant will have to send a copy of Business Plan to aahan10@accman.org.in
    3. Participant has to register themselves on or before 20 Jan 2010 . If a Business Plan is selected then he/she will be called for the final presentation.
    4. Time limit: 15 Minutes
