ACCMAN Institute of Management gives utmost importance to placement of students and the top management is actively involved in engaging industry at the highest level. During its short existence, the institute has built up excellent and extensive network of employer contacts for summer internship and final placements. The high esteem in which the institute is held is amply demonstrated during the campus recruitment drives year after year which witness scores of top companies vying for the best management graduates from ACCMAN.
Placement activities at the institute are coordinated by Corporate Resource Interface Centre, which is a unique initiative of ACCMAN aimed at providing comprehensive career & placement support for students and alumni. It acts as the nodal point for all skill development and placement related activities. Through year-round programs of lectures, workshops, seminars & conferences, it tries to build in the students the competencies and skill-sets that are valued by prospective employers.
The centre is managed by a group of experienced industry professionals who endeavor to act as the interface between the students and the industry. They are supervised by the Placement Committee of the institute consisting of the Chairman and the Director among others. Students too are actively involved in the placement process. A Student Placement Committee has been formed consisting of students from both the first year and the second year who approach the top corporate for presentations and invite them to the campus.
Apart from providing the students a platform to meet the prospective employers, the Corporate Resource Interface Centre also serves as a forum for the employers to articulate their future human resource needs, to identify and groom students for short term projects, summer internships and final placement, and to interact with the institute for identifying areas of mutual benefit. Based on the needs articulated by the corporate, Institute plans its soft skills training program for the students. Corporate are fully involved in the periodic revision of the curriculum which reflects the changing perspectives in management concepts and practices. Apart from this, consulting assignments in which the institute can participate are also identified.
The process of final placements and summer placements commences from November each year. Selected corporate are invited to the campus for holding Pre-Placement Talks and interaction with the students for both final and summer placements.
