PGDM (Retail Management) programme aims at developing a retail manager with through knowledge and industry exposure. It enhances the employability of the students with the use of extensive Industry integrated training. The programme follows a Trimester model which includes the concept of ON JOB TRAINING wherein from the SUMMER INTERNSHIP at the end of the third semester onwards the students are involved in live training with the major retailers of the country. The ON JOB TRAINING would continue after the summer internship as from the 4th semester onwards the student goes to a retail company for LIVE TRAINING 4 days a week. This would be a paid internship which will continue till the end of the programme.
Candidates seeking admission to the PGDM programme of ACCMAN Institute of Management (recognised by AICTE & Ministry of HRD) are required to go through a rigorous admission process which ensures selection of the right type of candidates.
Minimum requirement is Bachelor's degree of 3 year duration or equivalent with 50% marks in any discipline from a recognized university of India. Those candidates, who are appearing for their final graduation or equivalent examinations up to 30th June, 2012 are also eligible to apply subject to furnishing of documentary evidence before 30th September, 2012.
The criteria of short listing candidates for GD and interviews are based on multiple factors like:
- Performance at National Level entrance tests CAT/ MAT/ XAT.
- Past academic performance.
- Work experience, if any, in terms of job content and organizations.
- Extra curricular activities, other interests and accomplishment.
ACCMAN uses CAT / MAT / XAT for short listing the candidates for our two fulltime Post Graduate Diploma in Management (IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the program).
